What it does

How it works

The Ram-Shell uses a powder-actuated tool blank as the power source. Choose an appropriate load level and insert a training projectile module. The system provides a consistent impulse for cycling and basic function checks during structured training.
Muzzle velocities of 500 to 900 ft/s are commonly achieved (see Tech Info)

Practical, Affordable Shotgun Training

Ram-Shell products are designed specifically for use in standard shotguns and operate using commonly available .22 caliber blank cartridges. These blanks are widely sold at home improvement stores for use in powder-actuated tools, making them easy to obtain and inexpensive compared to traditional 12 gauge ammunition.

By utilizing .22 caliber blank charges instead of full-power shotgun shells, operating costs are dramatically reduced. The cost per shot is often a fraction of even the most economical 12 gauge target loads, allowing for significantly more practice without the expense typically associated with live-fire shotgun training.

Because the system generates substantially less recoil than conventional shotgun ammunition, training can be conducted in a more controlled and approachable way. This makes it particularly well suited for beginners, youth shooters, and those focusing on safe handling fundamentals without the distraction of heavy recoil.

Ram-Shell training cartridges are reusable and can be reloaded repeatedly. Plastic or rubber projectiles may be used depending on the training environment and application.
